Minibus Driver (School Term only)

Role Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Minibus Driver to carry out regular morning and afternoon driving duties on a fixed split-shift basis. The role involves safely transporting passengers on scheduled routes, maintaining excellent timekeeping, and representing the company to a high standard at all times. Key Responsibilities Drive the company minibus safely and punctually on assigned morning (06:30–09:30) and afternoon (15:00–18:00) routes. Carry out and record daily walkaround checks (first-use checks) before each shift, and report any defects immediately to the Transport Manager. Ensure passengers board and alight safely, assisting where required, including passengers with reduced mobility. Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and presentation, inside and out. Comply with all road traffic laws, drivers' hours rules, and company policies at all times. Keep accurate records of duties, mileage, and fuel as required. Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses promptly and in line with company procedure. Communicate professionally and courteously with passengers, colleagues, and management. Refuel the vehicle and park securely at the depot at the end of each shift. Requirements Essential: Enhanced DBS (EDBS) certificate — must hold a current Enhanced DBS check. Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or IN endorsements). Driver Qualification Card (DQC) — valid Driver CPC. Digital tachograph driver card (Digi card). Good spoken English and a professional, customer-focused manner. Excellent timekeeping and reliability — the split-shift schedule requires punctuality for both duties. Desirable: Previous experience driving minibuses, school routes, or shuttle services. Knowledge of West London roads and routes. First aid awareness. Working Pattern: Fixed split shift: 06:30–09:00 and 15:00–18:00, Monday to Friday. Total driving/duty time approximately 5.5 hours per day. Occasional additional hours may be available.
